ESD Precautions
NCR S10 Desktop Server User Guide 2-3
ESD Precautions
To avoid damaging electronic equipment from
electrostatic discharge (ESD), always observe the
following precautions before installing any system
component:
1. Do not remove a board from its packaging until you
are ready to install it.
Integrated circuits (ICs) on expansion boards are
highly sensitive to static electricity.
2. Wear a wrist grounding strap before handling
electronic components. Wrist grounding straps are
available at most electronic component stores.
